Enhancing the Architecture of a Home by Improving Curb Appeal

What's a quick way to update the look of your property? Give the front yard a face-lift.

In this redesign, the client wanted to improve the overall appearance of the front of their house. We started by replacing the concrete walk with poured pavers framed with Mexican pebbles. We then tore out the dense, overgrown Rhodies which obscured the eave and roof lines, replacing them with a lively planting design with interesting texture and foliage combinations. The owners will continue to update the landscape, but this gave them the push in the right direction with a style that enhances the architecture of the house while greatly improving its curb appeal.

Update 2019: The backyard has received a facelift. We replaced the old, uneven concrete patio with a new modern sand-finish look with poured slabs and pebbles. More to come!
